Outdoor gig/festival?
What would people think about trying to organise something like this?
I think it'd be a great way to raise awareness. Somewhere central so we can try and hook passersby in. It'd show the kind of thing that we're trying to provide and we'd no doubt gain some support from the general public.
Have it in the summer, and a load of us can walk around letting people know what we're trying to achieve and how. I think it'd be a really good way of getting support from the parents as well as the youngsters, especially if they see it's a long term thing.

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
The opening of the new Deal skatepark, would be ideal for this.
Opens summer this year, we lost the fight for a pool but the bowl is looking sweet, there will be an opening day thing with demos by top skaters etc, and other stuff going on. ETA August.

Is that at Linwood?
That's part of my team if it is. An event would be EASY to organise...

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
Yep, lady to speak to is ****, do you like my bowl? Cradle in the corner.....
Being built behind Tides, with a lot of grassy areas around it with a natural banked affair going on, would be great for a gig.

Yea, but Bill is the Boss over pretty much everyone.
I want to tell him about some ideas I have about this site, anyway.
Lose that mail dude. You dont know who may use it. I have a copy in my staff folder, and will mail her as well.

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
let me know how i can help. i will gladly hand out flyers at the event or something.
Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
Yeah, I'm well up for doing that sort of thing too.
I think it'll look really good if we can go around letting people know what we've got planned and things, trying to get them involved.
There's a lot of people on here that I know can speak with a lot of passion, why not use that to our favour?

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
I spoke to my bosses boss about this a couple of weeks ago. She gave me yet another number to get in contact with. It seems I just keep on getting put around the houses. Anyway, I have e-mailed this dude, but have had nothing back...
I've learnt that this is typical concerning working with the council.

Funny that, me and kris were chatting on msn about such things earlier, folkestone will have one this year, battleska have been pretty much put in charge of it by **** ***** from what i hear shortly after our conversation...
Sellinge festival this year was awesome too!
I live round the corner (litterally) from where the new skatepark is being built, so a gig there would be ideal if we needed somewhere as a kinda base camp.

Thats cool, Dave.
Raph did you play at that gig? I didn't see you there?
Bloody good day. It was on the beach in the end. Looked like somewhere in America, or something...A shitload of people turned up.
Good to see some old friends, as well.
Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
This gig, organised by the same people-ish will now take place in Aylesham on the 21st August, btw.
Amber room, and Hey Zeus amongst others will be playing.

That forum sucks, Dave...
I was reading it from scratch, and then as I got the the last page it said I had viewed as many posts as I could, and had to join to view more.
No way i'm joining THAT.
Can you give me a conclusion?

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
You don't have to join, just clear cookies and have another look.
DDC and particularly Richard Pollard need putting up against a wall.

Re: Outdoor gig/festival?
You just need to go and have another look, it lets you have so much time each time you visit.
There have been developments, further to my last post on there.
I think he realised he is on a sticky wicket.
