Key Points/Questions Raised Sunday 9th March

1) Dover or Folkestone for a venue? Or d'you have an argument for somewhere else entirely?

Folkestone is about to have a lot of investment, particularly for young people. Does this mean it is a better place for us to try and start something, or for this reason does it mean that Dover needs us more? Dover has both train lines so it makes it more accessable, will the kids travel? I'm looking into it.

2) That venue behind the Abbey National in central Dover. We're going to look in to it, just to see. As it's in the centre of town a lot of people would probably want to use it in the day time, so we wouldnt be wasting money having it only open at night.

We also discussed fundraising, but I think you should talk about that a lot more next sunday, Carrie.

We need to have a dig around, and see who owns that venue.

Just to clear a few things up for people that missed the meeting:

There is a venue in Dover that is already set up. It has sprung floors. Kitchens. Toilets. Good stage. DJ Booth.

It hasnt been used for over ten years.

This place is my focus at the moment. I made a few phone calls today, but to no avail. James (oozye) will do some work to see if some people who he thinks owns it,know anything...
