My only dislike isnt with the music itself, but the cold enviroment that these showcase things always have. It's hard to manifest energy in those enviroments, aint it?

I love the canadian sound when it's a bit more pure like in the bands you mentioned. Must come from watching Due South as a kid just for the theme tune. What a tune! Thanks very much for the compliment, despite Jerome's little strap malfunction He's gutted but it's no big deal.

It's shot in a fairly run down theatre environment which is actually really cool (and cool in the literal sense). Draperies everywhere. He could perhaps have warmed the colours up a bit to compensate. Oh well, it's fine for an evening's work, which was hardly like work. I hadn't met her before no, but she seems fairly clued up on the scene which is ace. Odd coincidence is she'd started drawing a picture of john butler (being a massive fan and art student) just as we started warming up (which took a while as all the stuff was being set up around us) with a song of his, and the only cover we play "what you want".

It's weird. People have been telling me to listen to the raconteurs for ages now, as they reckoned I would really be into them. I'll be honest here....I "presumed" they were gonna be another "floppy haired tight jeaned fashionable pete doherty "in" band", and avoided them like the plague...

I was driving home from work the other day, and was listening to the radio. That song they realeased came on, and I was like "What the hell is this!?" I loved it, and had no idea it was them until the end.

Ever since then (last week) I have become a very, very big fan. Dont have the new album yet though.

Really just.. get it! The bassist is no big deal, but every note on that album just slots into place perfectly and just goes to show what you can do with a little intuition. Listen to many shades of black and tell me you don't like it... I put that statement to everyone...
