is this a lame suggestion but i feel like the reason that this site is more forum/chatroomy than the comprehensive mrgig is because of the dark colours??? i just can't get to grips with it, it seems to disorganised for me. i need something cleaner cut. am i a loser?

It's still rough around the edges, but that's to be expected in only its second day of existing!

I like the scheme of the site. The only thing I think it lacks is the gig listing facilities. That would be a huge boost.

I think the problem is that many people are use to the simplicity of MrGig, however that is because it never really evolved, where as if you trawl the net you find that most forums are to this standard, ok some rough polishing is always needed but the general layout I find easy to use and the colour scheme may not be to everyones taste but its got that modern edgy vibe, I like it.

These free forums are pretty much generic but Kris has done a fine job of doing custom work to it, I reckon over the next few weeks you will all become adapted to this new style that you will wonder why you ever sat in the 90's with Mr Gig!

What he said ^

Other forums I visit are very similar in colour and layout to this, and some of them are very popular, you get used to it.

There are options to change the way you personally view these things I believe.
